Write a strong paragraph that provides background information about the primary

Write a strong paragraph that provides background information about the primary source you’re writing about. We will do it in two steps that build upon the bullet-point answers to the context questions from week 1:
1. Write bullet-point answers to the context questions: up to 10 points.
● Who to whom? Who is the author and who did he/she/they write to?
● What type of work did the source create?
● When did he/she experience or write the work?
● Where did he/she experience or write?
● What is the historical significance?
2. Write a paragraph incorporating bullet-point answers to c: up to 40 points.
3. Write it as a pdf, a Microsoft Word, or a text answer.
● If you want to use Google docs, convert your file to pdf before uploading.

Part 1
Use bullet points to answer the context questions for one source:
● “Shipwrecks,”
● “Commentaries,”
● “A Paleolithic Woman” ● Source 1.1
● Source 1.2
Grading: 10 points for answering all of the questions; 8 points for answering 4 of the 5 questions; 6 points for answering at least 2 of the bullet point questions.
Part 2
Please do the bullet points in part 1, using your answers to create a context paragraph that includes the information from #1 through #5. Please focus on writing a good paragraph, which means that you might have to switch the information around. Grading:
● A level (40 – 36): The student included all of the information and wrote a specific and analytical topic sentence, supporting sentences that are relevant and connected to the topic sentence, and presented the historical significance of the source being examined.
● B level (35.5 – 32): The student included all of the information and wrote a topic sentence that is more descriptive than analytic, supporting sentences that are sort of connected to the topic sentence, and/or was not too clear on the historical significance.
● C level (31.5 – 28): The student included all of the information and wrote a topic sentence that is descriptive, supporting sentences that are not well connected to the topic sentence, and the historical significance is not very relevant.
● D level (27.5 – 24): The student included fewer than three of the bullet point responses.
● F: (0) The assignment was not done.
