Your assignment for this Final Project is to carefully prepare a comprehensive written proposal with the intent of performing an IT audit.
Topic Proposal: In Week 2, you submitted a fictitious company name and the type of business they conduct. In addition, you chose five items from the optional audit list below to include as part of your topic approval for this organization:
It operates within a Microsoft Windows Environment.
It houses a data center.
Completed a Disaster Preparedness Plan.
Use of a web server.
It employs a database.
The private network contains a wireless network segment.
It utilizes at least one instance of a virtual server.
It uses the cloud for a business process of your choice (storage, software as a service, etc.). Pick your cloud provider.
Proposal Outline: In Week 5, you submitted your Audit Proposal Outline identifying the areas on which you planned to focus your audit.
Final Project: Now, you must finish writing your audit plan to include entity-level controls such as asset management, policies, standards, and procedures, as well as team member management. Most organizations require specific hardware, including switches, firewalls, and data storage. You should also include these areas in your IT audit proposal. Lastly, the initial five IT audit option items you selected as part of your topic proposal will make up the rest of your outline.
Remember to use the textbook’s Audit Outline on page 13 as a guide to help you formulate the proposal and steps to complete a successful IT audit. However, I acknowledge the differences between the printed and the electronic versions of the textbook (I use the Kindle). Therefore, if you prefer, you can create your IT audit proposal based on the Audit Report example under Modules/Read Me First: IT 677 – IT Security Audit Plan – Example.pdf.
Due date: Your well-written 10 to 12-page proposal describing your IT Audit, based on your Topic Proposal and Audit Outline, will be completed and submitted by the end of Week 10.

Relevant ideas to question: 85 points.
The student followed APA Style and used at least three references (credible sources such as peer-reviewed articles, expert blogs, and the textbook), with correct spelling and grammar: 25 points.
The student’s proposal met the criteria (as per the statement above): 65 points.
